Elizabeth Hardwick

Elizabeth Hardwick (1916-2007) was a prominent figure in American literary and cultural life for nearly half a century. Together with her husband, the poet Robert Lowell, she was part of the group of intellectuals who founded the New York Review of Books in 1963.
