La crociera

€18,90

A novel about drifting to become yourself.

Synopsis

Ingrid works on a giant cruise ship, where she spends her days organizing the merchandise in the souvenir shop. In her free time, she disembarks from the ship and loses herself in the local bars, between alcohol, ambiguous encounters and situations bordering on danger. It's not a bad life. Above all, it distracts her from thinking about another existence, the one she left behind five years ago.
But one day, Ingrid is selected for the mysterious employee mentoring program—an initiative run by Keith, the ship's charismatic captain and self-proclaimed lifestyle guru. Along the way, Keith will take her to extremes she never thought possible. So Ingrid must ask herself: Is there a limit to how far you should go?

Original, mischievous and thought-provoking, The Cruise is a merciless satire of our anxious searches for something to believe in and someone to please. But it is also a journey, a personal odyssey that will lead Ingrid, this unlikely heroine, towards an outcome that is anything but obvious.
