L'arte di essere Marco Pannella

€19,90

A manual for those who burn with passion and know that no rule is eternal

Synopsis

With contributions from: Rita Bernardini, Marco Cappato, Fabio Caressa, Luciana Castellina, Monica Cirinnà, Alessio Falconio, Chiara Lalli, Mirella Parachini, Saverio Raimondo, Oliviero Toscani, Enrico Vanzina.

Marco Pannella wrapped in a cloud of smoke. Marco Pannella with a hollow face, in his third month of hunger strike. Marco Pannella gagged, or in handcuffs. Marco Pannella about-face. Marco Pannella giving away smoke in the square.

Irregular, provocative, unique. Few people have managed to impose their image like the leader of the Radicals. He was the pop star of our politics for 60 years, during which he never stopped fighting for those who had no voice and contributing to the progress of this country. Winning fundamental rights such as divorce and abortion, introducing issues such as euthanasia, the legalization of drugs and the rights of prisoners into the public debate.

This book is an attempt to give the right place in our History to a man who profoundly changed Italy and all of us. An idealist without an ideal and without heirs, so far ahead that not everyone has understood him even today.

Author

Patrizio Ruviglioni was born in Civitavecchia, in the province of Rome, in 1995. A journalist, he covers politics, pop culture and portraits, with a focus on Italy because, deep down, he feels good there. He likes the seventies, counterculture, music, revolutions in customs and the stories of those who followed their own path without listening to what others said. He collaborates with the Roman edition of Repubblica, with Esquire and with ICON, in addition to having a song column on Internazionale Kids. He has recounted facts and trivia of Italy fifty years ago in L'Espresso and has worked on documentaries.
