Hitchcock presenta: Storie che mia madre non mi raccontò mai
The Master of Suspense's Favorite Stories
Synopsis
"The title of this book is a perfect description of its contents. My mother would never have told me the stories I have collected here, and I also advise against passing them on to your children. These are tales for refined palates, familiar with blunt objects, screams in the night and poisoned glasses of wine. The only thing I can promise you is that a wide range of emotions awaits you - but nothing tender or sentimental, which is not really my style."
Alfred Hitchcock

Author
Alfred Hitchcock was born in England in 1899 and died in Los Angeles, USA, in 1980. The undisputed father of the psychological thriller, he moved from British silent cinema to the glorious Hollywood of the 1940s. From then until the late 1970s his career would be dazzling. We owe him fundamental techniques such as the shot that imitates the human gaze, the Dutch angle to increase tension, the extreme close-ups for the most dramatic scenes and the very famous MacGuffin, that is, a seemingly insignificant detail that becomes a narrative device.
