Il grande successore
The definitive book on Kim Jong-un, the nuclear-armed millennial.
Synopsis
WHO IS KIM JONG-UN REALLY? AND WHAT DOES HE WANTS FROM US?
Since his birth in 1984, Kim Jong-un has been shrouded in myth and propaganda – from the most grotesque details to the dark stories of family members executed on a whim. But no one would have thought that this inexperienced boy, a fan of basketball and Western pop music, would be able to hold in his grip a country that was destined to disintegrate many years ago.
Washington Post columnist and leading North Korea expert Anna Fifield has pieced together Kim’s past and present with exclusive access to sources close to the dictator, creating a vivid portrait of the world’s most mysterious regime—isolated, yet internationally relevant; bankrupt, yet in possession of nuclear weapons. And its tyrant: the man who calls himself “the adored and respected leader.”
